New Chief Executive to Lead Oxygen

Carter Holt Harvey today announced the appointment of Mike Smith, formerly of Jade Software Corporation, as the new Chief Executive of Oxygen Business Solutions.
CHH Chief Financial Officer Jonathan Mason says the appointment signals the company’s commitment to developing Oxygen into a robust specialist IT business, and a key player in the IT industry.
“We are delighted to have someone of Mike’s calibre and experience to lead the business. This appointment comes at a time when Oxygen is firmly focussed on growth opportunities and moving into international IT markets”.
Prior to his four years with Jade Mr Smith was with IBM NZ for 12 years. At the time of leaving IBM he was in a senior business development role focussed on strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions.
Mr Smith takes up his position of CE Oxygen on 8 July 2002.
