The Commerce Commission will hold a five-day conference on the proposed electricity thresholds and control regime for lines companies on 17-19 July and 23-24 July 2002.
This conference will enable interested parties to make oral submissions on the conceptual design of the regime, and provide the opportunity for the Commission to ask questions.
In August, following the conference, the Commission will release its asset valuation methodologies discussion paper. The paper will be peer-reviewed before being released. Interested parties have until 19 July 2002 to comment and provide input on issues relating to this paper.
The Commission’s work on regulation of electricity lines companies is pursuant to Part 4A of the Commerce Act 1986. A range of background papers are available on the Commission’s website (www.comcom.govt.nz). Commission media releases can also be viewed on the website.
