“Tomorrow evening New Zealand’s biggest ever tourism business event, Tourism Rendezvous New Zealand (TRENZ), will be opened” Tourism Industry Association Chief Executive John Moriarty said today.
“TRENZ is all about business. Over 425 travel and tourism buyers from 36 different countries will meet at the Auckland Showgrounds to do business with a record 415 New Zealand tourism exhibitors, who will be offering their product for sale.”
“It is the biggest event of its type in New Zealand. The chances are that the tourists we see in our country in 2003 will have purchased a package negotiated at TRENZ this year,” Mr Moriarty said.
“As well as the opportunity to do business at TRENZ, delegates will be hosted at a variety of functions which will have on display the best of New Zealand food and wine.
Mr Moriarty also said that the finalists of the Tourism Awards 2002 will be announced at the Welcome Function at the Auckland Showgrounds tomorrow evening.
