Shuffling at the top of the pack at Quantum Global New Zealand has created a new general manager role.
The company’s CEO Raj Ranchod is shifting his focus from day-to-day sales and operations to concentrate more on broader
issues for the group both here and overseas. The strategic shift has created the need for a New Zealand general manager.
That role will be filled through the internal promotion of national sales manager Kim Gardiner.
Ms Gardiner took over as general manager on Tuesday 2 April 2002.
The move to general manager is Kim Gardiner’s second promotion since joining Quantum Global 15 months ago as business
development manager. She’s already yielded excellent results from her first promotion to national sales manager for New
Zealand, and has just completed a contract with the Australian branch of the company to set it up with the same retail
model that has worked exceptionally well here.
A background in sales makes Kim very driven by bottom line profitability. Her track record in retail success, business
expertise and people skills are what she believes helped achieve the promotion, as well as her loyalty and commitment to
the company. “I’m very passionate about making a difference and achieving success. There will be a lot of energy going
into making this an exceptional year for Quantum Global New Zealand and its key strategic retail partners.”
Gardiner’s vision for the company is simple – for consumers and businesses to recognise Quantum Global as an outstanding
marketing and distribution company of quality consumer products.
One of Kim’s key priorities is surrounding herself with the right mix of people with the right skills and attitudes.

Before joining Quantum Global, Kim Gardiner was business development manager and corporate sales manager with Villa
Maria Wines.
Ms Gardiner, who’s 34, says she’s risen to where she is today with the help of three important mentors in her life. They
include her father, Bruce Goldsworthy, Manager of Advocacy services for the Manufacturers and Trade Group services
division of the Employers and Manufacturers Association; George Fistonich, managing director of Villa Maria Wines; and
Quantum Global’s CEO Raj Ranchod.
