The New Zealand Sugar Company Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Bernard Duignan as General Manager.
Bernard leaves his position as Sales and Marketing Manager to take on the new role, and replaces John Burman who has
been appointed Chief Executive Officer of both NZ Sugar and Sugar Australia.
Bernard joined NZ Sugar in 1989 and became part of the senior management team in 1994. After 13 years at NZ Sugar he is
well-equipped to lead the company forward, and brings wide food industry knowledge and experience to the role.
Mr. Duignan says; "It's a great time to be taking on the role. New Zealand Sugar has diversified and grown
significantly, both locally and as an exporter, in the past few years. I am looking forward to further growing and
improving the business as well as continuing to build on our long-standing reputation for customer satisfaction and
quality."
New Zealand Sugar was judged Supreme Winner at last year's TVNZ Marketing Magazine Awards and winner of the FMCG
category for its Chelsea brand campaign.
