Senior electrical apprentices are being urged to get their entries in for the industry’s leading awards.
Entries for Challenge 2002 close on Saturday (March 23) and apprentices can register on the Internet at www.ecanz.org.nz.
Event co-ordinator Tracy Neilson of HPM NZ Ltd says there will be some leeway if young people aren’t able to get their entries in by the weekend.
The event comprises a series of preliminary competitions during April in Auckland, Tauranga, New Plymouth, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.
These are followed by a New Zealand final in May at EMEX (Automation and Control Show) in Auckland.
The competition is open to any senior apprentice electrician.
Winners will be chosen in two disciplines, Domestic / Commercial Apprentice of the Year and Industrial Apprentice of the Year.
