Leading Online Farm Store Accepts Credit Cards

The entire rural community can now shop at the country’s leading rural supplies and services outlet, RD1.COM.
The web site has introduced a secure online credit card facility to allow anyone to shop at its online store.
Farmers can continue to use their account-based payment system, or can use a credit card for online shopping.
The admission of credit card transactions means that anyone can shop at RD1.COM. Previously, although the site was open, purchases at the online store required an account with AnchorMart, the retail arm of RD1.COM.
CEO Brian Bilas said the company had introduced credit card sales only once it was completely satisfied that security was watertight.
“At no stage in the process does RD1.COM actually see or hold a customer’s credit card information. The processing is done securely, but in real time.”
With the introduction of credit card sales, RD1.COM has also simplified the checkout procedure at its online store. The web site also offers online order history, allowing a customer to review at anytime orders they have placed.
Mr Bilas said the new facility would be particularly useful to owners of lifestyle blocks or others with rural supply needs but who might not have accounts with AnchorMart.
“We’re offering products and services for the rural community in its broadest sense, and we want customers to have the best payment options possible,” he said.
