Top Retailers Switch To Pacific Retail Group
Auckland, 23 November 2001: Pacific Retail Group (NZSE: PRG) today announced it has strengthened its senior management team with the appointments of Brent Powell as General Manager Information Systems and Mike Good as General Manager New Business.
Both General Managers have moved to Pacific Retail Group from Farmers Trading Company.
Brent Powell was previously the Divisional Manager of Information Systems at Farmers. Prior to that he worked in various IT based management roles for British Airways in London and the well-known British retail chain Marks & Spencer.
In his new role as General Manager Information Systems, Brent will be responsible for the information technology strategic plan, ensuring system developments match Pacific Retail Group’s commercial roadmap.
“It is refreshing to work for such a forward-thinking retail outlet, the people are vibrant and the enthusiasm is contagious,” says Powell.
Mike Good has previously spent 22 years with Farmers, most recently working as the Divisional Manager Supply Chain and Logistics. In his new role as General Manager New Business for Pacific Retail Group his focus is to identify new product categories/services to grow the overall business.
“There are so many opportunities at Pacific Retail Group. I’m looking forward to bringing together all of the skills and experience in my previous roles to enhance an already thriving business,” says Good.
Peter Halkett, CEO of Pacific Retail Group says PRG has set out to create a high- performance organisation that attracts quality people.
