General Manager Appointed

Stephen Macaulay has been appointed General Manager of the Retail Meat Industry Training Organisation and the New Zealand Retail Meat and Allied Trades Federation. Stephen joins the organisations on 1st December and brings an in depth knowledge of the meat industry having been employed by the Meat Industry Association for the last six years.
Stephen will be working with the Boards in merging the two organisations and is looking forward to increasing and promoting domestic meat issues, and providing more services to a wider range of members.
Stephen was educated at Lincoln University where he completed a Bachelor of Commerce in 1993. In the following year he held the position of Student President for the Lincoln University Students’ Association.
He will replace David Lonsdale who is soon to retire after almost 20 years as Executive Director of the Federation and the ITO.
