Mr Eglinton is currently Managing Director of NEW ZEALAND MILK Americas and is based in Fort Lauderdale and has worked for the Dairy Board in various roles in the Americas since 1991. He will be relocating back to New Zealand to take up his new position in Wellington.
Ron Peake has been appointed to the role of Chief Information Officer. His responsibility will be to provide business advice and information to the NEW ZEALAND MILK leadership team on information systems solutions and systems processes for the new company. Mr Peake recently joined NEW ZEALAND MILK as Chief Information Officer following an extensive external recruitment process.
Dale Farrar has accepted the position of Director Global Human Resources. In this role, Ms Farrar will be responsible for the development and implementation of human resource strategies and policies across all areas of human resources activity including leadership, recruitment, training, remuneration, performance and management. She joined the Dairy Board in September 2000 as a member of the board’s Global Human Resources team and with specific responsibility for NEW ZEALAND MILK
Mr Eglinton, Mr Peake and Ms Farrar will be part of the NEW ZEALAND MILK Global Leadership Team with Mr Pilkington. They will be joined by the Director, Global Operations, an appointment expected shortly, and the Chief Financial Officer, for which an external search is underway expected to take some time. NEW ZEALAND MILK’s Kevin Murray is currently acting in that role.
In addition to these senior executives, NEW ZEALAND MILK’s Regional Managing Directors are also part of its Global Leadership Team. Australasia is a new focus for NEW ZEALAND MILK now that it has become responsible for Fonterra’s marketing role in New Zealand, and Baird McConnon will become the Regional Managing Director for the region. He is currently CEO of Australasian Food Holdings Ltd, which consists of Mainland, Tip Top and Peters & Brownes.
