BP = Better Prices for Labour Weekend
The Labour Weekend holiday trip is now easier on the wallet after BP today dropped its petrol and diesel prices 10 cents
a litre.
The price promotion takes place with immediate effect at BP’s company owned service stations, and runs till midnight
Saturday (20 October).
Prices at participating service stations in the main cities drop to about 89.9 cents for Unleaded 91 petrol, about 94.9
cents for Unleaded Premium, and about 61.9 cents for diesel. Prices will vary from region to region.
These are the lowest prices New Zealand has seen since BP’s Easter price promotion this year.
BP Managing Director Peter Griffiths said the promotion was more good news for motorists who have already benefited from
three wholesale price drops in the past three weeks - all led by BP.
“Labour Weekend is always a busy time and we are delighted to give motorists bargain prices. No only do BP customers get
a great deal on fuel, they can also win cash prizes with Kachingo!” just for shopping at participating BP service
stations.”
Kachingo! is a New Zealand invented customer rewards programme which rewards shoppers with cash prizes for shopping at
any store in the Kachingo! village of partners.
Each time a customer spends $25 or more at BP, they receive a game line ticket that puts them in a draw to win daily,
weekly and monthly cash prizes.
Mr Griffiths said customers had been flocking to BP since it launched Kachingo! last week.
Other Kachingo! partners are Woolworths, Big Fresh and Price Chopper supermarkets, Super Liquor and KFC (Auckland
north).
