Keeping access to the Privy Council continues to make good sense to business, says Business NZ Chief Executive Simon
Carlaw.
"Commercial cases make up a significant proportion of the cases referred to the Privy Council. The results speak for
themselves.
"New Zealand has been able to tap into first-class experience and knowledge in one of the world's foremost business
centres at a fraction of the cost of going it alone.
"In an increasingly interdependent world, there is no business sense in cutting ourselves off from these benefits. New
Zealand is simply too small to ensure value or quality on a part-time, do-it-yourself basis," Mr Carlaw said.
