Land Rover New Zealand Launches Upgraded Roadside Assistance Package
Not only do New Zealand Land Rover customers have the peace of mind of being behind the wheel of one of the world's most sophisticated and safety conscious vehicles, but from September 1 they have the added reassurance of a new 24 hour, seven day, Land Rover New Zealand Assist programme.
Designed to cover all eventualities, Land Rover New Zealand Assist does not only apply to accidents and break-downs, but offers additional and unique benefits and is complimentary to Land Rover owners for the full duration of their Land Rover Customer Assurance Programme.
"As long as the vehicle is covered under the manufacturers warranty or a Land Rover Assured programme, our customers have access to one of the most comprehensive customer and vehicle roadside assistance networks in New Zealand," said Managing Director, Peter Lockie.
Land Rover Owners that are covered under the previous road side assist programme will automatically be upgraded to Land Rover Assist from 1st September, and should have already received a launch pack in the mail. It is also important for these customers to note the change in 0800 number.
Accident co-ordination and legal advice, as well as emergency contact, where calls can be connected to family, friends, clients or business associates to notify them of the breakdown or accident are all part of the comprehensive service provided.
Mr Lockie said operators are able to give Land Rover customers immediate practical and legal advice on correct accident procedures. This also extends to emergency medical advice from any of our on site doctors and nurses while the driver and passengers are travelling with the vehicle or have been involved in an accident – or even while at home.
Land Rover New Zealand Assist operators can also offer pre-trip medical advice, and advice on a suitable in-vehicle medical kit.
"Like most services, Land Rover New Zealand Assist will offer benefits such as emergency breakdown assistance, towing, key replacement and assistance with alternative transport, but we also recognise that Land Rover owners have some more 'unique' needs," he said.
Therefore the programme has been designed to suit the rugged nature of the vehicles with specialist services such as 4WD Trip Tracking, where once you have provided details of your trip Land Rover Assist will contact the driver at designated times and places. If they are unable to contact you at the given time they will contact local emergency services to begin a search of the last recorded route.
"Remote Towing and Bogged vehicle recovery can also be arranged should customers run into difficulties in some of New Zealand's more remote areas,"
Peter Lockie said as well as the comprehensive roadside assistance, it's also the little things that count – Land Rover New Zealand Assist can also advise on accommodation and restaurant bookings anywhere in New Zealand.
