Telecom is extending its offer of communication and entertainment services with the nationwide launch of four new
packages for the residential market today.
The announcement reflects Telecom’s drive to expand the choice of packages available to New Zealanders by building on
the SKY-FI series, which includes SKY Digital Basic TV, Xtra and high speed internet, launched in March.
Telecom General Manager Marketing Kevin Kenrick said, “Telecom has developed the new packages with the aim of providing
our customers with greater convenience, choice and value.”
The new packages – TVLine, SmartLine, TalkLine, MessageLine – combine enhanced Call Minder, national Talkathon weekends
for a maximum $5, Smartphone services, or SKY Digital Basic with the standard monthly line rental (see prices below).
MessageLine includes an enhanced Call Minder, which provides a single answering service for both Telecom home and mobile
phones.
TalkLine offers, for the first time, Telecom’s national Talkathon weekends, every weekend. Customers can make unlimited
national toll calls for a total of $5 for the whole weekend. Both these packages are available for a monthly fee
(including monthly line rental) of $42.95.
Mr Kenrick said SKY TV was again an important component of the range.
“Strategically, we see partnering as the best, most efficient means of delivering what our customers want and need,” he
said.
The Packages
TVLine - HomeLine (monthly line rental) and SKY Digital Basic combined for $69.95 for month.
TalkLine - HomeLine (monthly line rental) plus every weekend as many Direct Dial National Calls, from your home phone,
for a total of $5 for the whole weekend, combined for a monthly $42.95. Excludes 059 calls, calls to mobile and Quick
Call customers.
SmartLine - HomeLine (monthly line rental) plus a range of Smartphone services such as Call Waiting or Call Diversion
(except Call Minder) combined for $42.95 a month.
MessageLine - HomeLine (monthly line rental) and enhanced Call Minder combined for $42.95 a month. Call Minder has been
improved so it answers calls on customer’s Telecom home and mobile phones.
