Radio NZ Suspends PSA Members

Published: Tue 7 Aug 2001 05:02 PM
"RNZ has issued PSA members with notices of suspension following a failure to resolve Collective Agreement negotiations in mediation today" said PSA national secretary Richard Wagstaff.
"After six months of negotiations, RNZ has failed to make a reasonable offer to PSA members, and now they have suspended our members who were planning to take a 25 hour strike action at 4.00 pm today" said Richard Wagstaff.
A resolution to this dispute will only occur when RNZ demonstrates that they are prepared to drop their clawbacks, allow all PSA members coverage and make a fair pay offer" said Richard Wagstaff
"RNZ has sought to undermine collective bargaining by directly communicating bargaining matters to PSA members rather than through their negotiating team. These tactics are in breach of the ERA and will not help to resolve this dispute" said Richard Wagstaff.
