Ford Falcon Range Enhancements Specification & Prices
Following the announcement of substantial increases in specification across the AUII Falcon range, Ford New Zealand has
released a revision of these changes and a price list for the freshly enhanced vehicles.
Forte Sedan $41,400 Wagon $42,400
Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS) now feature as standard on the sedan and wagon derivatives of the Forte. ABS Brakes were
previously a $1500 option, but the overall price of the Forte has increased by only $300, a little more than 1%.
Classic $44,950
This vehicle is based on the popular Futura, and shares the following features:
4.0L Intech engine, Anti-Lock ABS brakes, cruise control, driver and passenger airbags, air conditioning, steering wheel
mounted audio controls, 60/40 rear seat split, engine immobiliser, 15,000km service intervals, 2,300kg towing capacity
and three year 24 hour roadside assistance.
The following features are available as standard on the 'Classic,' which retails for an additional $350 above the price
of the Futura:
16" prestige alloy wheels, side skirts, leather wrapped steering wheel, four door power windows, CD/ cassette stereo
unit, body coloured mirrors, a chrome exhaust tip, velour style trim and door inserts, floor mats and 'Classic'
nomenclature.
Factory fitted options available for the Ford Falcon Classic include dedicated LPG and sports suspension.
Fairmont Ghia Sedan 4.0L $59,990 5.0L $64,990
The Ford Fairmont Ghia is now adorned with an additional $7600 of specification, which includes full body kit, sports
suspension, 17" alloy wheels and full leather interior.
"What we have now is a vehicle that we believe is one of the most highly specified and desirable vehicles available in
the Falcon range," said Falcon Brand Manager Ian Swann.
"It has the refinement of a top of the line luxury vehicle, and now bristles with extra specification and sports
orientated enhancements."
XR6 High Performance $48,000
No Change in recommended retail price, and features in addition:
Six stack in-dash CD player
Body coloured mirrors
Side skirts
The XR6 High Performance (HP) is a proven performer in its own right, generating 164kW of power @ 5000rpm, and 366Nm of
torque @ 3150rpm.

XR8 Sedan $59,990

From early August, Ford is introducing a new range of colours available across the XR Falcon sedan range. These include
congo green, meteorite (graphite) and monsoon blue.
