Medallion Foods Appointment Indicates New Direction
Bacon, Ham, Smallgoods and Petfood manufacturer Medallion Foods’ has appointed Allan Baggett as marketing manager indicating a new direction for the firm.
With over 15 years marketing experience in the fast moving consumer goods industry (FMCG) thirty-nine year old Baggett is well-equipped to lead Medallions’ plans to increase its marketing focus.
Mr Baggett says he is thrilled to accept the position and looks forward to growing the company’s brands and market share.
“I accepted the position because of my passion to work with a growing company with solid household brands, “ Mr Baggett says.
The newly created position indicates a fresh direction for the growing Hawke’s Bay-based manufacturer as well as its increased commitment to provide ongoing marketing support for its brands.

Recent restructuring at Medallion Foods has seen product lines refined, existing lines enhanced and an aggressive marketing plan developed to drive sales of core brands.
Over the next six months Medallion will centre its marketing effort on continuing to drive category growth through ongoing development of its Medallion Crispy Bacon brand – New Zealand’s market leader - and further development of it's Chilled Petfood business, including Perfect Dogroll and Perky Catfood.
“This is definitely an exciting time for Medallion and my suggestion to trade and consumers is to; watch this space,” says Mr Baggett.
