ANZ Corporate Banking Continues to Grow
ANZ has made three key personnel appointments to its Corporate Banking team.
Stephen Burns takes up the position of Associate Director, heading up ANZ's Corporate Banking team in Manukau. Sejal Blackler and Lindsay Allpress join the Bank as Relationship Managers, both based in Auckland.
Stephen, who has 14 years experience in the banking industry in New Zealand and overseas, joins ANZ from Northington Partners where he was Director of Debt Securities. He is a Chartered Accountant holding a Bachelor of Science from University of Otago, a Bachelor of Management Studies from Waikato University and a post-graduate Diploma of Commerce from the University of Auckland.
Stephen will also work with the Bank's Corporate Finance and Private Equity teams to deliver corporate finance solutions to new and existing clients.
Sejal has a broad financial services background with management experience in corporate and institutional banking, securitisation and corporate finance. She has also worked in investment banking in London and in auditing with KPMG in Auckland. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland.
Lindsay, who has over 16 years of banking and finance experience, originally joined the Bank as a graduate recruit in 1984 after gaining a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Otago. He has worked in various roles including strategic planning and international services, as a corporate advisor in the financial markets and as marketing manager for ANZ's investment banking division.
After leaving ANZ, Lindsay held a number of diverse roles in the banking and finance industry in New Zealand and offshore, specialising in treasury management, and more recently e-Commerce.
"All three are valuable additions to the Corporate Banking team as we continue to enhance ANZ's leading position in the market and develop strategic partnerships with our business customers," says Dean Adams, General Manager Corporate Banking.
Managing Director Dr Murray Horn says, "We are very pleased to welcome resources of this calibre to ANZ. Their combination of experience and talent will be of great value as we develop and grow our position in the market".
