Healtheries Gives New Meaning To “A Cup Of Tea And A Lie Down”
Sleep tight every night with “Sleep Tea” - the latest functional tea from Healtheries. “Sleep Tea” has a subtle lemon
flavour and contains the soothing herbs Passionflower, Chamomile, Lemon Balm and Limeflowers. Specially formulated, this
tea has a dosage strength designed to ease you into sleep.
Sleep Tea is the latest development in the hugely successful Healtheries functional tea range - a series of teas
specially formulated to have great taste and added health benefits. The range is driving growth in both the herbal and
green tea markets, with 49% growth in the year to June.
Stephanie Perrett, Healtheries Senior Product Manager (tea and food), says sleep is a key consumer requirement not
currently well catered for with teas. “Sleep is essential for good health. However, the pace of modern living and
stressful circumstances mean sleep sometimes eludes us when we need it most,” Perrett says. “Our new Sleep Tea is the
perfect bedtime soother to help you sleep.”
Scientists say that sleep is essential to give the body a chance to repair itself each day. Sleep deprivation can lead
to impaired memory, impaired physical performance, slow reactions and poor social and emotional coping skills.
Healtheries’ functional tea range was launched in 1997 and quickly became, and has remained, the best selling herbal tea
in the New Zealand market. Each product in the range covers a key consumer health need. Echinacea Tea is for winter, St
Johns Wort Tea for stress, Ginseng Tea for energy, Gingko Tea for memory and three Green Teas for detoxing.
Healtheries “Sleep Tea’ will be instore from mid August, recommended retail price $3.95.
