New Telecom/Sky TV Package Launched In Wellington

Published: Thu 28 Jun 2001 10:33 AM
A new Telecom residential package combining telephone service and SKY TV is being launched in Wellington this week.
To be known as TVLine, it combines the Telecom HomeLine with SKY Digital’s basic package and will cost $59.95 per month.
Telecom Chief Operating Officer Kevin Stratful says the new development reflected Telecom’s strategy to regionalise its offers to customers.
“New Zealand no longer has one telecommunications market – the market varies from region to region and centre to centre. Wellington is characterised by a high level of competition and increasing demand for new technology,” he says.
Mr Stratful says TVLine was designed to give more choice and convenience.
“This is part of an ongoing trend in the convergence of home entertainment and telephone services and will give Wellington people a great blend of entertainment and telecommunications services,” he says.
Package Detail: The package is available to customers in the Wellington 04 calling area. The SKY joining fee is $99. Standard domestic SKY installations only. A 12-month contract applies with a $50 fee for early disconnection.
