Major refurbishment work has added an exciting new look to the Millennium Hotel Rotorua.
Located just a brief stroll from Lake Rotorua and the world famous Polynesian Spa, the Millennium Hotel Rotorua now has 65 newly refurbished rooms offering a high level of comfort and luxury.
The $2.7 million dollar refurbishment project has also seen air conditioning installed in all hotel guestrooms.
The hotel has a total of 227 rooms and suites, including rooms with spa pools in an enclosed private outdoor area.
Polynesian inspired artwork, co-ordinated by well-known local Maori artist June Grant featured in the new rooms.
General Manager, Tracey Thomas says the added features have been well received by guests.
"In room air conditioning is a basic expectation for guests who stay at any Millennium Hotel worldwide", he says.
"Surprisingly, we are one of the few deluxe properties in Rotorua now offering this added comfort."
"The 65 newly refurbished rooms also have a distinct and unique Rotorua style and appeal. This is consistent with the Millennium theme of Globally Distinctive, Individually Unique."
