Carter Holt Harvey Sponsors ‘Tug Of Peace’ In Support Of Nelson Hospice
Carter Holt Harvey is sponsoring a ‘Tug of Peace’ between the Police and Waterfront Workers Union members in Nelson this Friday.
Brian Grover, South Island Sales Manager for Carter Holt Harvey Forest Fibre Solutions in Nelson, said that Carter Holt Harvey was delighted to be involved in the Friends of Nelson Hospice event raising money for a worthy cause. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for everybody to show their support for the great work done by the Nelson Hospice. Congratulations to the Police and the Union for entering into the spirit of the day.”
Mr Grover said that Carter Holt Harvey was sponsoring the event to the tune of $1,000, “but we’ll double the money if the winning team can pull off the ‘Carter Holt Harvey Challenge’. They’ll have to pull a truck carrying the losing team 50 metres along Trafalgar Street in less than one minute.”
