FORD PROVIDING FREE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY MOTORING FOR ALL NEW LPG DRIVERS
Ford New Zealand is providing 15,000 km's worth of free gas to all purchasers of Dedicated LPG Falcons this month.
Falcon Brand Manager, Coral Bond, said every customer who purchases from the Dedicated LPG Falcon range would be given a
Rockgas Card with $1440 credit during March.
"We launched the new AUII Falcon dedicated LPG range of vehicles late last year and have had fantastic feedback about
the vehicle and what it offers, but we want to ensure that as many people as possible experience the LPG alternative."
Coral Bond said this promotion is a way to educate drivers about the environmental benefits of LPG, and also alert them
to cost savings associated with using the gas.
Australian studies show that using LPG produces 80 per cent less air toxins than petrol. LPG also produces 30 per cent
less smog-forming emissions from the exhaust and creates no evaporative emissions from the petrol tank.
"LPG is clean and environmentally friendly, and with increasing numbers of vehicles on our road it is important to take
the initiative and provide a cost effective alternative to the status quo. Ford is an innovative organization, and
through providing an incentive such as 15,000km's worth of free gas we believe that we can do our bit to help make a
difference to our environment," she said.
"If we can encourage drivers to switch to LPG, then we are also helping to save motorist money every time they fill up.
LPG cost saving benefits can be realized after approximately 25,000km, and the current promotion makes these benefits
even more accessible."
Once the credit has been used on the Rockgas card, customers can choose to continue to utilize the savings offered by
Rockgas under their normal credit system, or to purchase LPG independently. LPG is available at over 600 petrol stations
throughout New Zealand.
The dedicated single-fuel LPG Falcon is available as a sedan or wagon on the six-cylinder Forte, Futura, Falcon S and
Fairmont with automatic transmissions. The Falcon range offers the only factory-fitted dedicated LPG vehicles available
in New Zealand and is a unique design developed by Ford and its alternative fuel partner Tickford.
