BP announces price decrease
BP today (27th February) matched competitors and dropped the price of petrol and diesel by 3 cents nation-wide effective immediately, saying it will always give its customers great prices.
The decrease takes prices at most BP company-owned service stations to $1.08.9 for Unleaded 91, $1.13.9 for Premium Unleaded and 69.9 cents for diesel.
BP’s Managing Director Peter Griffiths said the price decrease reflects the fiercely competitive nature of the market and has more to do with local conditions than international market movements.
“Activity in the market place has never been as intense as it is currently and we can expect to see more of it in the future. Our message to customers is to be sure that you visit our sites for the best in convenience shopping, new innovative products and great fuel prices.”
“We have been the market leader for over 10 years and will hold that position into the future through providing sharply priced fuels and giving excellent service on our forecourts.”
“We are also the only oil company in New Zealand to sell innovative new fuels that are better for the environment. Our recently launched low sulphur diesel and high octane motorspirit, BP Ultimate, are proof that BP offer New Zealand consumers the best products at competitive prices.”
