PeopleSoft To Drive Growth In Emerging Tech Markets
Appoints two new Asia Pacific roles
Auckland, 22 February 2001 – PeopleSoft today announced the appointment of Andrew Clay as Director of Emerging Markets
for PeopleSoft’s Consulting Practice, and Tony Gibbon as eCentre Manager for Asia Pacific, highlighting PeopleSoft’s
commitment to the region.
As Director of Emerging Markets, Mr Clay will be primarily responsible for rolling out PeopleSoft’s new and emerging
areas of business across Asia Pacific. By focusing on CRM, ASP and eCentre initiatives, Mr Clay aims to create new
opportunities to capture additional market share and continue to strengthen PeopleSoft’s position in Asia Pacific.
Speaking on his new appointment, Mr Clay said, “PeopleSoft is an extremely focused company, committed to strengthening
its business in the region. With the CRM market growing rapidly and strong demand in ASP and eCentre initiatives, this
is a fantastic opportunity for me.”
Mr Clay brings to PeopleSoft over 10 years’ experience in the IT industry having previously worked at Oracle where he
was the Director of eBusiness. In this role Mr Clay was responsible for the management and business development of
Oracle’s application’s suite for Australia and New Zealand.
PeopleSoft’s eCentre Manager, Mr Gibbon will be responsible for heading up PeopleSoft’s eCentre initiative in the
region. Mr Gibbon will focus on growing and further developing PeopleSoft’s eCentre and building a strong business in
Asia Pacific.
The PeopleSoft eCentre is the first of its kind in the ASP market within the region. With aggressive targets for the
upcoming financial year Mr Gibbon is hoping to capture significant marketshare.

customers' applications securely and reliably. The market has been waiting for something like this for sometime and I am
very excited by the enormous opportunity and scope this venture offers.”
With a distinguished career spanning more than 15 years in the IT industry and a strong background in outsourcing,
bureau, consulting and ERP applications, Mr Gibbon brings a wealth of knowledge to PeopleSoft. Prior to joining
PeopleSoft Mr Gibbon worked with IXOS Australia which provides Data Archiving and Imaging Solutions and previously with
GE Capital IT in Alliances where he was responsible for the Business Development of their SAP practice.
Both Andrew Clay and Tony Gibbon will be based at PeopleSoft’s Regional headquarters in Sydney, Australia.
