Deadline For Tax Payments Looms

Inland Revenue has recently issued 252,146 reminder letters to individuals and companies with end-of-year tax payments to be made by 7 February. However, those taxpayers represented by a tax agent with an extension of time for payment have until 7 April.
National Manager, Bryre Patchell said the 7 February due date covered those with end of year income tax, ACC levy, family assistance overpayment, or student loan payments due.
"Some $212,466,912 million in tax payments is due by 7 February.
Anyone who thinks they may have trouble paying by 7 February should get in contact with Inland Revenue now, Mr Patchell said. We'll do all we can to help work out a solution."
Inland Revenue's toll free numbers are available weekdays from 8am until 8pm and from 9am to 1pm on Saturdays. For personal tax enquiries call 0800 162 684 and for business tax enquiries 0800 162 685.
