Auckland – 15 November 2000 – SupplyNet, New Zealand’s leading business marketplace, has appointed Garry Fissenden to
the position of managing director.
Fissenden will be responsible for the overall direction of SupplyNet’s e-procurement strategy.
Previously the Group General Manager Technology & Operations at ASB Bank, Fissenden was responsible for leading the bank to the forefront of technology practices within
its sector.
Commenting on the appointment, Charles St Clair Brown, Executive Chairman of SupplyNet, says Fissenden’s in-depth
knowledge of technology combined with his strategic and pragmatic approach to business will strengthen SupplyNet’s
position as a leader in its field throughout New Zealand.
“Garry has a fine reputation for excellence and innovation. SupplyNet is extremely fortunate to secure a person of his
experience and acumen,” says Brown.
Other recent senior executive appointments include Frank Anderson as General Manager Sales. Frank was previously head of
country for Peoplesoft New Zealand.
Brent Baldwin as the Chief Technology Officer and Phil Wilkins, the Chief Financial Officer both of whom have been
involved with SupplyNet since its outset and previously filled similar roles within the GSB Supplycorp Group.
