NZPI Signs Global Deal with IFMA
The New Zealand Property Institute (NZPI) has signed a global strategic partnership deal with the International
Facilities Management Association (IFMA) based in Houston, Texas, United States of America.
This follows some months of negotiation. It means that NZPI's 3000 members will benefit from being affiliated to this
global organization and it provides IFMA with a New Zealand presence. And NZPI members will be able to become virtual
members of IFMA for NZ$190 instead of over NZ$700.
IFMA President, Mr Gert Freling said today "NZPI is an exciting new organization. We believe that by IFMA partnering
with NZPI we can help build the facilities management profession in New Zealand. We look forward to progressing our new
relationship."
NZPI President Allan Ford said today "This is a very exciting agreement for New Zealand's property professionals. IFMA
are a major global entity. This deal will allow our members to tap into their global resources and expertise
economically and will enhance the attraction of our Institute to those involved in facilities management and operation.
This is part of our global strategy which we are undertaking to ensure that the Institute is well positioned in the
increasingly global and fast changing times that we live."
IFMA has over 18,000 members in 67 countries around the globe. IFMA's core purpose is to strengthen and advance the
knowledge base essential to leading the integration and optimisation of the built environment worldwide. IFMA was
established in 1980 as a not for profit incorporated association dedicated to promoting excellence in the management of
the work environment. It integrates the principles of business administration, architecture and the behavioral and
engineering sciences.
NZPI is a new organsiation, which represents the interests of over 3000 property professionals involved in the
valuation, property management, property consultancy and now facilities management fields.
