NZPI Signs Global Deal with IFMA
The New Zealand Property Institute (NZPI) has signed a global strategic partnership deal with the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) based in Houston, Texas, United States of America.
This follows some months of negotiation. It means that NZPI's 3000 members will benefit from being affiliated to this global organization and it provides IFMA with a New Zealand presence. And NZPI members will be able to become virtual members of IFMA for NZ$190 instead of over NZ$700.
IFMA President, Mr Gert Freling said today "NZPI is an exciting new organization. We believe that by IFMA partnering with NZPI we can help build the facilities management profession in New Zealand. We look forward to progressing our new relationship."
NZPI President Allan Ford said today "This is a very exciting agreement for New Zealand's property professionals. IFMA are a major global entity. This deal will allow our members to tap into their global resources and expertise economically and will enhance the attraction of our Institute to those involved in facilities management and operation. This is part of our global strategy which we are undertaking to ensure that the Institute is well positioned in the increasingly global and fast changing times that we live."
IFMA has over 18,000 members in 67 countries around the globe. IFMA's core purpose is to strengthen and advance the knowledge base essential to leading the integration and optimisation of the built environment worldwide.
