REAL sales ahead of budget
Real Ltd's October sales are already two-thirds towards budget for the month according to National Real Estate Manager Ian Grindle.
Mr Grindle says there is a high level of activity throughout the 27-branch real estate company, with its two newest branches, Whangarei and Dunedin, both performing well.
"In just a few weeks, Whangarei already has 25 exclusive listings and Dunedin, which opened a week later, has 18," he says. "The public has reacted enthusiastically to our latest openings and we are expecting big things from both branches."
Mr Grindle says that REAL Ltd is already planning a second Northland office.
Another star performer in the chain he says is the Tauranga branch, which is rapidly approaching its 150th listing. The branch's listings were given a further lift this week when a REAL lawyer introduced six confirmed listings in one go.
REAL Ltd in Te Puke, he says, has also had a boost in sales this week with three contracts being negotiated in a 24-hour period. "This is significant activity in a town of this size," he commented.
"Yet another excellent performer has been the Riccarton branch in Christchurch which last month performed right up there next to its biggest competitor in terms of sales."
As a result of REAL Ltd's continued growth and expansion, Mr Grindle says it has also been necessary to print three separate editions of REAL WEEKLY, the publication carrying all the company's property listings.
When real launched in July 40,000 copies were printed for the whole country. Now 100,000 copies are printed with a northern edition for properties north of the Bombay Hills, a central edition for Bay of Plenty and Waikato, and a southern edition for South Island.
