Over 750 property listings from REAL this week
REAL WEEKLY, the publication carrying photographs and details of all REAL Ltd listings around the country, this week has
over 761 residential and rural property listings throughout New Zealand.
Real Ltd's National REAL Estate Manager, Ian Grindle, says that while the actual number of listings by the end of the
week topped the 800 mark for residential properties alone, the additions had arrived too late for publication in REAL
WEEKLY, which appears every Friday.
Listings are across the spectrum from moderately priced homes and sections, to a number of properties in Milford, Taupo,
and Matamata in the $1 million plus category.
According to Mr Grindle, REAL's sales are starting to 'blossom' as well. "While the property market generally is quite
slow, buyers are becoming increasingly attracted to the realistic pricing of REAL properties," he says. "Sales are also
being boosted by the fact that the REAL WEEKLY is becoming better known and appreciated with each printing.”
He says that in order to make their properties even more competitive, three REAL branches - Eastridge, Balmoral and
Auckland City - will be trialling a vendor paid advertising rebate scheme on properties valued over $460,000.
"Vendors of properties at the higher end often invest a considerable amount of their own money in marketing with
conventional real estate agencies,” he explains. “These three branches are offering to stretch the difference between
REAL and any competitor even further by rebating some, and in some cases all, of the vendor's advertising expenses.
"In every case over $460,000 the total saving is considerable when you add the rebate to the conveyancing fee - up to
$1,200 plus GST - and the lower REAL commission."
"It is another example of how REAL is once again moving the goal posts and making meaningful competition within the real
estate industry a reality."
