Jason Paris Appointed General Manager for Online Media
AUCKLAND – 25 August, 2000 – New Zealand’s largest online marketing solutions company, Brave New World, has appointed
Jason Paris as its General Manager for Online Media. In this role, Jason will assist with the strategic direction of the
company, lead new client acquisitions, launch unique client services and maintain key relationships with the existing
blue-chip clients of Brave New World.
“Jason’s experience complements the company’s existing growth strategy,” says Frank van der Velden, CEO of Brave New
World. “His expertise in the communications industry will add significant value as we look to maintain the position as
leading online advertising agency in New Zealand. Jason will also be an integral part of the relaunch of one of our key
brands, WebMasters Network Limited, which will look to represent the advertising sales of niche New Zealand websites.”
Recently, Jason and his team have been responsible for the online success of NZ Post’s Ebill service, ASB Bank, and the
first NZ html marketing email for Roadshow.
According to Jason, there are a number of fundamental issues contributing to the reshaping of Internet advertising in
New Zealand. “These include the strenuous efforts of many traditional companies to get online, the emergence of new
tracking technologies that will improve measurement, targeting, and data interpretation and also the establishing
patterns in consumers’ use of new interactive networks,” says Jason. “Brave New World in this industry will be
recognised for its service, clients, return on investment and effective creative.”
Prior to joining the Brave New World, Jason was Advertising Sales Manager for Telstra Saturn Communications (formerly
Saturn Communications). He has also held the position of Sales Manager for Channel 9 Television and Sales Team Leader
and Account Manager of The Radio Network.
