ACC newest CHANGEPOINT™ user in New Zealand
Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) will streamline its time recording and improve project reporting and control with a professional services automation (PSA) solution from Changepoint Corporation. David Irving, chief executive of Changepoint's New Zealand and Australian distributor, Synergy International, said today that the principal benefit of Changepoint's PSA solution was its ability to manage the entire IT services delivery process effectively. "ACC's acquisition of Changepoint is an indicator of the growing recognition of the benefits of professional services automation," Mr Irving said. "The software automates and streamlines the business processes of corporate IT departments and IT professional services organisations. That means all individuals involved in the services supply chain can operate and interrelate across a common framework. "Changepoint will give ACC's IT department the power to improve relationships with customers, partners and contractors while enhancing the profitability and efficiency of their entire business," Mr Irving said. As New Zealand's comprehensive provider of accident insurance for people who suffer personal injury as a result of an accident, ACC delivers a range of services aimed at reducing the impact of injury on individuals and the community. These include: injury prevention initiatives, case management and rehabilitation services as well as managing relationships with health professionals throughout New Zealand. "This requires a complex set of IT relationships and services and Changepoint will enable these to be managed more effectively." Changepoint Corporation, headquartered in Canada with offices in the USA and United Kingdom, provides comprehensive professional services automation solutions to manage the entire IT services delivery process. Management consulting and information technology services company, Synergy has recently expanded across the Tasman. It specialises in the delivery of total business-related information technology solutions. It has exclusive distribution rights for Changepoint in New Zealand and is a distributor in Australia. Synergy was the private sector winner of the 1998 Business Development Quality Award and received the New Zealand Quality Foundation 1999 Progress Award as well as being a partner to the New Zealand Business Excellence Foundation. The company also won the Professional Gold category in the Wellington Region Gold Awards held in June 2000 and was highly commended in the Dominion Wellington Region Gold award for business enterprise and excellence.
