New Chief Executive Officer Appointed
AUCKLAND – 24 August, 2000 – New Zealand’s largest online marketing solutions company, Brave New World, has announced the appointment of Frank van der Velden as its Chief Executive Officer. This role will see Frank assume responsibility for implementing Brave New World’s emerging business model in a rapidly changing communications world.
“With the increasing number of channels our clients can communicate through to their customers, traditional advertising models are seriously challenged,” says Frank. “Over the next two to three years, advertising spend will be re-balanced to reflect the value of each of these channels to customers – which means a significant shift from traditional to digital channels.
“Brave New World is evolving a new model in advertising effectiveness that blends technology and people to provide objectiveness in channel choice. Our view is that customers will select not only what channel they use, but also what they want to see and hear. Brave New World’s challenge is to guide our clients to get the best out of these channels so they develop valuable relationships with their customers.”
Prior to joining Brave New World, Frank has been involved in a variety of industries focused on building new enterprises and re-structuring companies. Since the late 1980’s Frank has held leadership roles within technology focused companies, the most recent with WebMasters Ltd, which was acquired by Advantage Group Ltd in 1999.
