ZFREE hits 150,000 registered users
ZFREE, the free Internet access provider powered by CLEAR, has signed up more than 150,000 users in just four months.
An average of 1100 users are still signing up each day at the web site www.zfree.co.nz. More than 33,000 of registered users are using ZFREE daily.
CLEAR has accelerated its network expansion plans to meet the unexpected rapidity of the growth, and capacity has been extended by 130 per cent so far. ZFREE is now also available in Whakatane and Blenheim, bringing the number of centres served by ZFREE to 14 throughout New Zealand.
Advertising impressions delivered to the ZFREE web site total 16 million and growing.
ZFREE's new manager Lindsay Cowley says ZFREE is currently developing features for its web mail service, including folders, filters and address books. These features will be available by the end of next month. ZFREE also hopes to finalise partnerships with content providers for the web site in the next few weeks.
