WESTPACTRUST ENHANCES ONLINE BANKING SERVICE
WestpacTrust has enhanced its Online Banking service at www.westpactrust.co.nz so that customers can view statement details from their bank accounts going back to at least July 1998 and for many they will be able to go back as far as December 1996.
WestpacTrust general manager online services, Phil Doak, said: “WestpacTrust Online Banking now offers our customers a more comprehensive view of their bank accounts than any other New Zealand bank. WestpacTrust customers can now look back at least two years and lodge transactions up to six months in advance, giving them a window onto their WestpacTrust accounts of at least two and a half years.”
Mr Doak said customers would eventually be able to see up to eight years of account details.
This is the first of a number of Online Banking enhancements planned for this year, including viewing details of direct credits, downloading financial data into common money management software and making grouped payments.
“Interest in WestpacTrust Online Banking has been phenomenal. More than 38,000 customers have registered to use the service since we launched our pilot on March 15, which is far more than we ever dreamed,” Mr Doak said.

Editor’s Note: Customers can only view details of WestpacTrust accounts that are currently open. Accounts that have been closed or transferred will not be available for viewing through WestpacTrust Online Banking. Credit card customers can currently view statement details up to one year old – this will not change.
