NEW ZEALAND MARKET WELCOMES SIMPL E-SOLUTION.
On July 3rd, 2000 one of New Zealand's pioneering web design companies, Helios Communications joined forces with IT services leader, the Simpl Group. Together they offer a unique combination: power at both the `front' and `back' end of website and other application developments.
"Helios is recognised for designing and developing user-focused websites. Their skill in design, navigation and content is an area that is too often neglected" explains Managing Director of the Simpl Group, Bennett Medary. "The fact that they share our pragmatism and passion makes the fit a very natural one."
Helios created some of the first websites in New Zealand. These include the ASB Bank website and its Fastnet online banking facility as well as sites for the National Library of New Zealand, Creative New Zealand and the Insurance Council.
Over the last two years Helios has specialised in high-powered, high usage extranet applications such as that used by the LTSA for the Warrants of Fitness Online application.
" Any software or Internet application development is only as successful as its ease of use by customers" says Helios Managing Director Adele Dimopoulos "While the front end is only a component of the larger development, it is the part which people see and use. If it doesn't work properly, the system will be deemed a failure".
"The combination of the front end skills of Helios, Simpl's proven capability in infrastructure design and software development, supported by the Group's strength in business strategy and project management, provides our clients with a comprehensive and independent e-solution", comments Bennett Medary. " We've already had a positive response from the market, securing new clients on the strength of our combined offering."
Adele Dimopoulos will work with the Wellington and Auckland offices of the Simpl Group to assist with further e-business development
