Advantage Appoints Group Communications Manager

Advantage Appoints Group Marketing Communications Manager
Auckland – 5 July 2000 – Advantage Group Limited (NZSE: ADV) has announced that it has strengthened its corporate team with the appointment of Jeanette Paine as Group Marketing Communications Manager. The new role will see Ms Paine assume responsibility for Marketing Communications within Advantage Group, reporting to COO Andy Wilkinson.
Prior to joining Advantage Group, Ms Paine held a variety of positions in the marketing communications team at Compaq Computer New Zealand, most recently as Customer Relationship Marketing Manager. She has over 10 years communications experience, ranging from direct marketing, brand management, advertising, public relations, and journalism. Additionally, she has a strong background in the IT industry.
Commenting on the appointment, COO Andy Wilkinson noted that “As Advantage grows, it’s imperative that we communicate more effectively across the Group and in our external marketing programmes. Jeanette’s appointment, and her considerable experience in a range of marketing disciplines, will help us integrate internal and external marketing communication functions more effectively. Jeanette is tasked with ensuring that we present Advantage vigorously and consistently within the company, on the web, in direct marketing, at events, through media relations and in brand advertising.”
Ms Paine holds a B.A from Victoria University and a PG Dip (journalism) for Canterbury University. She received a Silver and two Bronze RSVP Awards in the New Zealand Direct Marketing Awards in 1999 and a Recognition Award in the Kiwi Quills for Internal Communications in 1997.
