DFNZ OFFICIALS RECEIVE HUGE SHOW OF SUPPORT
Dairy Farmer of New Zealand Chairman Charlie Pedersen and Vice Chairmen Kevin Wooding and Paddy Briscoe today received a huge show of support when they were re-elected unopposed at the DFNZ Annual Conference in Wellington.
Mr Pedersen has served as Chairman for one year, taking the position as the dairy industry moved into a crucial phase of its tortuous restructuring. Mr Wooding and Mr Briscoe have been Vice Chairmen for one year also.
"I am very pleased to receive this show of support from my colleagues," said Mr Pedersen. "The interests of dairy farmers have needed, and will continue to need, a strong voice in the restructuring debate. DFNZ provides that voice, and I am privileged to have the opportunity to serve my fellow dairy farmers."
The two-day conference finishes tomorrow, and another two members of the five-member DFNZ Executive will be elected.
