New Zealand e-tailer FlyingPig.co.nz has announced it will not be proceeding with its merger with Australia’s TheSpot.com.au. The merger was announced early last month.
The New Zealand company says conditions agreed to by the two parties were not able to be satisfied and as a result the parties had agreed not to proceed with the merger in its present form.
FlyingPig.co.nz continues its interest in expanding across the Tasman. “We will be pursuing other opportunities in this direction now that this particular avenue is closed,” says FlyingPig.co.nz executive chairman Stefan Preston.
TheSpot.com.au operates three e-commerce sites in Australia - ToySpot.com.au, BeautySpot.com.au and HealthSpot.com.au.
FlyingPig.co.nz is New Zealand’s leading e-tailer of books, videos, software and stationery.
