DMA changes keep pace with dynamic industry
The new 2000 DMA National Board was elected at the recent DMA AGM.
DMA chair Scott Fuller has been re-elected for a record fourth term. Scott is a Director of Sullivan Thomson Ltd, a
Wellington based marketing and management consultancy. His work providing strategic advice to a wide range of New
Zealand companies has prepared Scott well to lead the DMA through the dynamic change that is facing the Association and
the industry.
Lee Parkinson, General Manager of the Communications Arts Group and CEO of Hyperactive, is the new deputy chair. Lee is
one of New Zealand's top e-strategists. He will be using these strengths in his role as the chair of the newly-announced
eMarketing Council. He is also responsible for driving education and the development of codes for eMarketing.
Valerie Walshe is the newest member of the DMA board. As 1999's Direct Marketer of the Year she has an intimate
knowledge of the DM industry and a strong association with the DMA. Formerly with IBM and Bank Direct, she is now
Business Manager ? Telecommunications at The Warehouse Ltd. Valerie chairs the DMA Marketing Committee.

In addition to the board changes, the DMA has recently made a number of staffing changes, to recognise the increasing
importance of electronic media and growth in the DM industry.
