Viral Marketing of iMac giveaway will build membership
Eforce's giveaway of 100 iMacs begins.
The first winner will be announced tonight at 8.30pm on www.eforce.co.nz.
"Innovative viral marketing of our iMac giveaway will increase membership of our consumer portal over the next three months," says Eforce Managing Director Mark Fulton.
Members who join Eforce between 12 April and 20 July are automatically entered into a daily draw to win one of 100 Apple iMac computers. As a finale to the 100 day promotion, a new cybergreen VW Beetle will be given away on 21 July.
Managing Director Mark Fulton said the iMac giveaway illustrates a key aspect of Eforce's proposition.
"Eforce is an online community of consumers that is building a critical mass of members. We want our members to share in our success. We're rewarding our members as they join by giving them an opportunity to win an iMac and a VW Beetle.
"It is in our members and Eforce's best interests to achieve the biggest membership base possible. The greater the number of Eforce members the better the deals we'll be able to offer on products and services members use everyday," says Mr Fulton.
Over 4000 members have joined Eforce since the launch of the portal in mid March.
"Currently we're getting over 250 new members per day. This is more than we had envisaged at this stage and we expect the rate of new members to increase as the iMac giveaway begins," says Mr Fulton.
Paul Fairbairn, Eforce's Creative Director, says that the promotion maximises the key capabilities of the internet to attract as many new members as possible.
"People use the internet to communicate quickly and easily. The internet is a sprawling mass of conversations, and good news, like winning an iMac and a Beetle, spreads like a virus," says Mr Fairbairn.
"We're encouraging members to spread the word. Members who tell a friend about Eforce gain an additional entry into the draw on the same day that their friend joins Eforce. There is no limit on how many friends you can tell. If members get organised they could have 100 opportunities to win.
"It's free to join Eforce. The only membership requirement is giving us information about yourself and your interests and having an email address. Eforce's membership database is a vital part of our business. WE don't sell or pass on information about individual members to anyone," says Mr Fairbairn.
Members who joined Eforce prior to 12 April are automatically entered into their choice of one of the first five draws for a DV iMac each valued at $3,600 and in their preferred choice of colour. For the remaining 95 days, the prize draw is for a blueberry iMac each valued at $2,800.
The iMac draw is held each night and the winner posted live on the Eforce site at 8.30pm.
Last week, Eforce announced its plans to acquire international supply chain management specialists Product Sourcing International (PSI) and web development hosting agency Imagic. The move signified Eforce's intention to build a fully integrated end-to-end global e-commerce organisation that is active in the business to business and business to consumer sectors.
Eforce Ltd (EFC) is a publicly listed company on the New Zealand Stock Exchange.
