The ANZ Chapter plans to sponsor SCOR Workshops, an annual Supply Chain World Conference and Exposition, member evenings and other networking opportunities for supply chain executives. The Supply-Chain Council was initiated as an unincorporated activity in 1996 by AMR Research and Pittigilo Rabin Todd & McGrath (PRTM) and their clients to create a standard to improve supply chain processes among manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and retailers. The Council released the SCOR model as a framework to evaluate the effectiveness of supply chain management and to target and measure specific process improvements. The Executive Director of the Supply-Chain Council, Mr Bill Hakanson said he was impressed with the tremendous interest in the ANZ Chapter. "As you can see its leadership team is made up of representatives from blue chip companies and this bodes well for the future growth and success of the Chapter".
