NEW CEO APPOINTED FOR NEW PROPERTY INSTITUTE
Mr Allan Ford, President of the New Zealand Property Institute Establishment Board, today announced the appointment of
Conor English as the new organization's CEO.
The New Zealand Property Institute is being formed from the New Zealand Institute of Valuers, the Property and Land
Economy Institute of New Zealand (PLEINZ), and the Institute of Plant and Machinery Valuers.
The new institute's mission is "to be the pre-eminent organization of property professions in New Zealand"
Last year, 89% of Valuers and 97% of PLEINZ members voted for amalgamating the existing institutes to form the new
Institute.
Mr English said today, " The formation of the New Zealand Property Institute is a very progressive and forward looking
initiative. This is both an exciting and challenging time in the New Zealand property sector. Along with the rest of the
team, I am looking forward to building the new institute."
Based in Wellington, Conor has a broad background and has been involved in the agricultural, insurance, oil, property,
and government sectors. He has had valuable experience with the New Zealand Employers' Federation; as press secretary
and advisor to government ministers; and as Policy Executive with Federated Farmers. Conor is a company director and has
a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Otago University. Conor has a long held and active interest in property, is 35, and
he lives with his wife and four children in Wellington.
