Synergy Repositions For New Millennium

SYNERGY REPOSITIONS FOR NEW MILLENNIUM
One of New Zealand's fastest growing information technology consulting firms has announced a new organisational structure.
Synergy International Limited chief executive David Irving says the restructure follows significant growth during the last two years, including revenue growth of more than 250% and a 200% increase in staff numbers.
The company also absorbed Agility Software Limited, renaming it Agility: the web and new media division of Synergy.
"The changes give us a client service framework that will allow us to continue to expand in line with our strategic business development goals," Irving said.
"They recognise that we work in two distinct markets, Auckland and Wellington, where clients have different expectations and values.
"By creating the two branches with an operational umbrella based in Wellington we can be more adaptable and responsive to clients' needs."
Synergy co-founder, chairman, and general manager, consulting, Chris Comber has been appointed general manager, new ventures. This business development role is expected to create new streams of business to enhance Synergy's strategic intent. One of the major initiatives is investigating the possibility of opening a division in Australia.
Former general manager, technology, Garth Hamilton has been appointed general manager Wellington. Darren McTigue remains general manager Auckland.
Mr Rick Rainey has been appointed sales manager Auckland and Al McKee sales manager Wellington. These appointments have given the sales team more of a branch focus.
Three new principals have been appointed in Synergy's Wellington office: Lesley Hayward will deliver Synergy's leading edge technology solutions, Mark Hodierne is appointed principle of the management consulting team and Steve Manners is responsible for technical services.
Corporate services are managed by Ian Clarke and include accounts, client services and marketing.
