Professor Kenneth S. Courtis To Join Goldman Sachs
TOKYO, Jan 27, 2000 / HK PRNewswire-AsiaNet /-- Goldman Sachs, the global investment bank, announced today that
Professor Kenneth Courtis has joined the firm as a Managing Director and Vice Chairman, Goldman Sachs Asia.
In his previous position, he was Chief Economist and Strategist for the Deutsche Bank Group Asia Pacific.

Professor Courtis is an honors graduate of Glendon College in Toronto. He has an M.A. from Sussex University in England,
an MBA froom INSEAD and a Doctorate wit honors and the highest distinction from the Institute of Economic and Political
Studies in Paris. He is the recipient of numerous awards and distinctions for his research, a well-known lecturer at
major universities and the author of a number of significant publications.

Professor Kenneth S. Courtis is Managing Director of Goldman Sachs and Vice Chairman of Goldman Sachs Asia. Professor

America.
Professor Courtis has won numerous prizes and distinctions for his research and is a valued advisor on international
