Four new appointments have been made to the Australian Film Finance Corporation (FFC)-the Commonwealth-owned company
which invests in the production of qualifying Australian films.
Producer/Director Mario Andreacchio, producer Jan Chapman, producer Jonathon Shiff and lawyer Gregory Vickery, have
been appointed for three years.
'These appointments will add greatly to the depth and experience on the FFC Board,' Federal Minister for the Arts,
Peter McGauran said.
'All four have impressive credentials and have made strong contributions in their respective fields in recent years,'
he said.
Adelaide-based Mario Andreacchio has achieved recognition as a producer and director of films and television drama for
children. Mr Andreacchio's most recent production is Sally Marshal is Not an Alien. Mr Andreacchio will take up his
appointment on his return from Europe in October.
Ms Jan Chapman has won international acclaim as a highly successful film and television producer. Based in Sydney, her
credits include The Piano and Come in Spinner.
Mr Jonathon Shiff is a producer from Melbourne, who specialises in programs for children, such as the series Ocean
Girl.
Mr Gregory Vickery is a prominent lawyer from Queensland with an extensive record of community service to the arts and
sport.
'Australia's dynamic and vibrant film production industry owes much to the work of the FFC over the last ten years,' Mr
McGauran said.
'Its success is largely due to the dedication and active participation of all those involved,' he said.
