Auckland's Latest University Increases Fees

Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand's newest university, is to hike up its student fees by almost five percent.
While students are unhappy about the increase, AUT(formerly AIT) says the 4.96 increase is the lowest annual rise in AIT's history.
Management says the Education Ministry this year kept funding at previous levels. This has enabled a reduced increase in fees, AUT finance spokeswoman Judith McKay says.
