In racing today, Mediterranean neighbours France and Spain square off on the first match of the day on the Atlantic
course (Blue-6).
The French boat 6e Sens (FRA-46) will meet Brava España (ESP-47).
The second match is San Francisco’s undefeated AmericaOne (USA-49) against the radical Swiss boat be hAPpy (SUI-59).
The third race on the Atlantic Course is the Honolulu boat Abracadabra 2000 (USA-54) sailing against the San Diego boat
Stars & Stripes (USA-55).
On the Pacific Course (Green 6), the opening race of the morning will be between Italy’s undefeated Luna Rossa (ITA-45)
and the Australian boat Young Australia 2000 (AUS-29).
The second race on the Pacific course is the New York Yacht Club’s double-winner Young America (USA-53) versus the
Japanese boat Asura (JPN-44). America True from San Francisco has a bye and will resume racing this afternoon.
After a quick lunch break, racing will resume on the blue and green courses. On the Atlantic Course in Match 1 of Race
4, Young Australia meets Abracadabra. In Match 2, FAST 2000 sails against Young America. In Match 3, Nippon goes up
against as-yet undefeated AmericaOne.
Observers in the press corps are already looking forward to this match.
