an attractive trophy to be retained by Council.
Manukau City Council was also a finalist in the Public Sector entities section of the overall awards. It is also notable
that Manukau's Annual Report also gained a Silver Award in the Australian Reports Awards (ARA) for the third year in a
row.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand (ICANZ) Annual Report Awards sets out to achieve excellence in
reporting to users, stakeholders and other interest groups. The standards have risen considerably over the last ten
years the awards have been in existence. There is considerable emphasis on areas of interest as well as financial
information, in particular the environmental and human resources aspects.
