A man is to appear in Otahuhu District Court following a hoax phone call to Police Communications threatening a foreign delegation.
The man (23) allegedly made the call at around 5:25pm last night, from a public telephone in East Tamaki, Police spokesperson, senior sergeant Keith Campbell said.
Police arrested a man this morning. His is charged on misuse of a telephone laws.
“Any calls of this nature are going to be taken seriously by police,” senior sergeant Campbell said. “Calls are being traced and if there are any other such calls, action will be taken in the same way.”
